Salukis Understand Careers: Continuing Education & Skills Series

We invite all prospective and current Salukis, as well as alumni, to participate in our virtual Salukis Understand Careers: Continuing Education & Skills Series (S.U.C.C.E.S.S.).

This series focuses on building your career and professional development by providing three sections for you to participate in, CAREER, EMPLOY, and INTERN. Each section has modules with thorough information about the section title.

  • CAREER focuses on deciding a major that best fits your skills, abilities, interests, and passion, and will help you to get to know yourself through career assessments.
  • EMPLOY guides you through creating professional documents such as resumes and cover letters, and will assist you in preparing and conducting job searches and interviews.
  • INTERN emphasizes the importance of internships and will walk you through how to prepare and find them. It also covers our very own EXTERN program, and why you should take advantage of this amazing opportunity!
You are free to participate in any module of your choosing, or you can participate in the full series and receive a reward at the end! If you are interested in this, please let us know by emailing careerdevelopment@siu.edu. To help you keep track of your progress through the program, please use the task list provided.
